If your confirmation email says that you need to fill in Advanced Passenger Details (API) before sailing and you're getting an error online, please try these suggestions:
- Make sure you use the ferry company reference number, not the Direct Ferries (DFP) reference.
- Make sure you're entering the lead passenger's surname as it's written in your confirmation email.
- If the lead passenger's surname contains special characters or accents (e.g. ó, ü, ç, é), try entering the surname using standard characters only.
If you've tried our suggestions above and you're still getting an error, don't worry. You can provide these details at the port during check-in without extra charges. You'll also be able to update any passport details at the port if they have changed since you completed the API.
